| [#2228] Another DVD recommendation 音樂家.唱片.音樂會 - 黃牧 (皇冠叢書) 唱片經 - 黃牧 (皇冠叢書) What to Listen For in Music - Aaron Copland (A Mentor Book, authorized reprint of the McGraw-Hill book) The 4 books by 黃牧 discuss mostly about artists, their characters and orchestras. All 4 of them are good guides for searching recordings. I first read 黃牧 and 鄭延益 classical music articles in 明報週 . Later, both of them were invited to talk in RTHK Radio 4 programme - 唱片評介. The book by Aaron Copland is more on music appreciation. Besides, I also read some books about music theory, music history, musical instruments, etc. I started reading some other music books discussing composers, conductors, violinists and pianists.... but a bit shame that I never finish any of them.... :P |
