| [#364] Firewire..... I also think brothers/sisters are little over-reacted here. Having no intention to say something is both neutral and polite. Like me, I am not a cPlay user, so I have no intention to discuss it too. Reason for why I am not a user is because of the over-primitive user-interface and I am also not bought in the sonic "improvement". I've found foobar2000 and JR Media center are more natural and allow me to listen more relaxly. |

| [#365] 理論與現實 Dear Athensc, I still puzzling whether to buy a new mini-mac instead of a pc, did you compare it with your existing set up. Frankly speaking, I don't want to change my CAS with mac as long time a pc user. I have installed window 7 in a mac book and compare the sound of itune(mac) & foobar (win7), found it is better under the mac environment, may be my set up of foobar not correct. by the way, whilst using mac, it still need to purchase the ammarra software which is so expensive (cost hkd 8,000) for a sound improvement. hope you can share more in window7 pc application. |

| [#371] 最蠢的CAS My ION330 using optic fibre ($3xx) to connect Minerva/DAC2 After all our tests in diff places recently, I don't think that Mac + 1394 is final solution for CAS However ,there is no doubt that Mac/itune is providing excellent interface and iphone RC which Foobar is way way behind MDlP HING quite agree with you on " I don't think that Mac + 1394 is final solution for CAS" today i have listened weiss dac 202 s headphone (audio techica w1000) performance in Tokyo high end audio show 2010 may setup 1 japanese cd transport spdif directly to dac 202 vs panasonic notebook firewire to int 202 and then spdif to dac 202 no doubt setup 1 get much cleaner and quiet sound |
