If u love your 212 very much, u better down grade your speaker to let 212 can handle it. Since your dyna is a good speaker, so I suggest u to upgrade your amp. first. Perhapd u can buy a accuphase power amp and use the 212 as pre-amp to try . |

| [#36] 用金桑子AMP推B&W 805S OK 嗎? sheepsheep2010 hing finally from f-u-n-g s c hing i understand you want to buy 805s , not 212 (due to grammatical issue, i misunderstand you) yes fung s comments are good reference to you. like you i am real accuphase fans. the reason behind i like it because all accuphase models fufil their power specification, "half the loading double the power' (unlike other manufacturer, they always claim 8 ohm 1000w something like that) if 805s not a discontinued model, i think you can take your amp 212 to bw cental showroom audition it with 805s, (but please ask the manager mr mak, he s very good guy never seen before in audio industry, three years ago i have been to show room central district blowing water with him testing sg805 and without buying anything) the most important thing judge by your ears regarding to amplifier speaker combo. |

| [#37] 用金桑子AMP推B&W 805S OK 嗎? kevlar cones have been know to breakup chaotically when play loud. it can be used successfully as mid but not as mid/bass if cut off points have been selected properly. i cannot see 805s is still in contention considering b and w already move on with newer and better products. unless u want to pay money and remove someone unwanted items thats another question. get a pair of well designed 3 way floorstander and experience the less strain mid/bass |

| [#39] 用金桑子AMP推B&W 805S OK 嗎? My burmester 082 is just 97w output but indefinitely wins Rowland 500 (500w) and Goldmund 330 in pushing 805s to give punchy bass. I also agree that 805s needs high current amp to push the bass of 805s unless it is a burmester amp with over 2000 damping factor. Also I agree that the two cones speaker sure cannot compare with 3 way loudspeaker go give strain mid/bass but it also depends on the performance of amp to push 3 way speaker. |

| [#40] 用金桑子AMP推B&W 805S OK 嗎? u cannot expect a 6.5 inch driver can give u quality bass below 40hz. u cannot beat physics. regarding kevlar u may do some searches. other diy forums, audiogon or asylum have many discussions already. many speaker manufacturers do not use kevlar for their mid or bass. if you like the yellow colour thats another matter. |
