Hi Springroll,

I am sure Lee Maria Fries might have taken influence from Radiohead since she is quoted to have a wide range of music she enjoys.

To me she sounds more like modern jazz, or improvised jazz to be more precise.

Somehow, I would rather link her to Laurie Anderson, an "avant-garde" artist who's so unique that she earns a lot of admirations from her younger peers.

Since Springroll bought up the fame of Radiohead please allow me to collaborate further.

Radiohead was the first Indie band I saw in England which was in 1991. I visited my friend in Oxford and he told me there was a new band playing in a pub, fancy going?

Why not?

It happened to be an unknown band called Radiohead. It was a "OK" performance and I thought the lead vocal sounded weird! Well, that was Tom Yorke to many people even today!!!

To cut the long story short I have been listening to them since then though I lost it sometimes due to some other bands taking more attention.

I am glad that my son has also found inspiration from them, not only music but also in his uni work.

Tom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood are the two creative power-horse for Radiohead, and now The Smile.

Greenwood is classically trained and also a multiinstrumentlist. Not only can he play Rock but also compose orchestral and film music.

Yorke has also started to make some film music in recent years as side projects.

I have just received a birthday present from my son and I am so excited about it.

It is a OST from Tom Yorke for an Italian film "Confidenza(Trust)".

Our son finally watched "Top Gun: Maverick" last week but he never watched the original Top Gun.

He had no idea how important the original character Ice Man was in the original and so he asked why the fragile and retired fleet commander was in the new movie.

I told my son briefly about the first one and went on to tell about Val Kilmer, the recently deceased actor.

I really like him in Heat, Batman and especially being Jim Morrison in The Doors.

I told my son he should watch "The Doors" and I said I will make a The Doors compilation CD from my vinyl for him.

I guess it's time to do some Psychedelic music lessons.

This is "The End" and famously used in the opening of the famous war film "Apocalypse Now " .

It's the original version so it's quite long.......11 minutes!!!!!
