| [#4501] 英倫再上路 對上嗰幾次比較熱嘅日子我有三個朋友住喺南邊嘅英國 2 of their new build home with 3 floors 嘩佢哋最頂嗰層真係好似熱到飛起 我對面街有個畀我年長一點的gentleman好有善，嘩佢屋企好多部冷氣，我就問佢點解你會裝冷氣呢，嘩原來佢個仔係開冷氣公司嘅，佢好有趣佢都有啲故事分享，佢係一個提早退休享受生活嘅前監獄長 我還記得80年代尾90年代頭的，可能是1990年 的夏天，嘩熱到痴線，好似全部人都未試過咁熱，所有人都搵解決方法，當日可以買到的風扇都是座枱型少少的可能普遍扇葉只有六吋 ，但係全Nottingham 都sold , and only a few left at Argo , a small table top one ,記憶當年風扇都是一種非必需品所以選擇很少 好彩我的花園右手邊有一long wall of 比較高的樹,late after to early evening 太陽some 射落嚟的方向 ,如果唔係可以熱得幾嚴重 在這裏生活我面對很多無聊的抉擇難以平衡，主要都是大自然，照顧訪客貓貓但他們傷害了小雀鳥 令大部分雀鳥都快樂however巨型烏鴉惡霸傷害其他小birds etc 花草樹木的自然生態平衡 生活再舒適一點涼快一點，冬天暖一點夏天熱一點，消耗能源找不到一個平衡點 天然光多一點當然能源損耗會少一點但又會熱一點 etc 所以我都有留意 passive home 冬暖夏涼的被動不需要能源損耗的設計家居 其實最需要調教的不是什麼外來因素配合是自己的心態 最後修改時間: 2025-07-09 17:50:00 |

| [#4503] 英倫再上路 The heatwave is less so for the third time and I think we could just manage to live with it, for now. We did consider to get the portable air conditioner. Sadly my wife has super hearing power and the noise, though lie in db, would disturb her sleep. We just manage with the old traditional way. Close the curtains and window in the day time. Open them later afternoon and let the fan running to circulate air through the house. If the humidity is not too bad we could be ok. That said, there is high chance that the persistent heatwave would be appearing more and more due to climate changes. We do need to find the solution to make sleep better. |

| [#4509] 英倫再上路 Since Springroll enjoying so much with his rekindled QUAD 606 + 66 combo it brings out some my desire with QUAD. I have been using some QUAD system past and present so QUAD amps are always under my radar. For a long time I have been checking some 606 and 909 power amps. This idea is kind of came and gone because I was always on a bargain hunt, not really in a rush. I am happy with my Onkyo M504 power amp especially feeding the Spendor BC3. However, sometimes I do wonder what would it sound like with a QUAD 606? Power output from both amps are more or less the sam, 140w per channel from 606 and 150 from 504. I just wonder if the QUAD's "current dumping" technology would play a different game with the BC3. This has been circulating in my brain for a long time. So, when I saw a decent(cheap in a nutshell) 606 up for sale I have a chance to satisfy my ego. Now waiting for its delivery and I would able to tell if I have got myself a "bad lemon" or "sweet Caroline". |

| [#4510] 英倫再上路 嘩又有新嘢玩 早兩晚，他少少時間睇下chi攝影師畀我嗰啲link 如果有一日有朋友或者自己想買新相機，我必勁話畀佢聽有幾大像素買幾大像素,其實係幾明顯嘅分別，放大少少睇分別幾大呀，什麼100像素是多餘的等等,當然不是真係好大分別，人生口袋多了一千英鎊，其實對某部分的人來說都可以是多餘的，可負擔這一千磅的分別如果真係沒有用，如果多出嚟嘅錢要作出選擇，買一set更好嘅畫筆， vs better camera ,當然係選擇畫筆 令我喺度諗， quad Vs onyko ,應該用啲which test tracks 又令我回憶起一些舊的power M ，經過adequate services and a level of overhaul 之後嘅表現真係令人覺得驚訝 If the quad is not lemon, so time is allowed , and make sense to spend some money for the onyko too , as it is quite sure a keeper too If my desire of better playback quality 依然維持及增加,i shall need a better pre amp, a bigger speaker which couple better with my room,and better digital chain My heart is trend to having fun , and take my time to build a tube pre amp 正在有一大一小的小鹿 at the end of my garden ,小鹿食玫瑰花 haha down the road， i shall not use my loved pioneer pre and power c72/m72,they are quite ok for casual listening , better than casual, far from audiophile quality I do have 2 decent power amp, somehow which has too much power than I need , there is a sweet spot from those 2 power amp but it is always above 80db in room listening Which I do always want a system sound quality great at below 75 dB i done quite a bit of experience in the past, background noise of the room make a huge difference , room at 35db Vs 45 dB background.... That is quite a fundamental for demanding listeners who care this aspect 我可以好單純欣賞音樂用普通嘅電腦及手機，但如果坐低和hi-fi系統相處多一點點時間，這種欣賞音樂的單純就消失了一點點了 可惜可惜，也是不可惜都是有趣的hobby 係時間 allocation 的優次問題 最後修改時間: 2025-07-10 18:37:35 |

| [#4511] 英倫再上路 從ebay買回來的 condition好好，聽咗三隻 嘩真係精彩，真係不同嘅樂團演奏同一個樂章都可以有好大分別，音色真係好好，錄音真係高質量㗎，好似鍾意彈結他嘅嘩真係神奇原來嗰段落張可以咁樣演繹，其中有一隻又有youtube又有黑膠，值得 by LP for this type of music 昨天晚上忽然間覺得自己是一個完全沒有邏輯的人，唔知點解我覺得佢換cd係一件很麻煩的事情，但係從來唔覺得換唱片去聽有什麼麻煩 以往聽好多chan 英光這些科幻小說level嘅聆聽報告，,其實喺這類型嘅音樂上，我感覺到係有可能好似這些hi-fi review幻小說嘅形容 這種樂團四個樂手如果配合得好大家的相對大小聲音用演奏的能力作出互相配合，錄音就完全減少需要compressor ,只需要調教幾種咪嘅mix 加一啲後期回音，咁就可以好real 這些樂團的唱片，其實往往會在很多charity shop and car boot sales 由幾十p至一兩磅開始碰上 祝大家尋寶愉快 而是者喺花園早上工作幾小時，但係今天不成功了因為手機及電腦都過熱 Haha  最後修改時間: 2025-07-10 18:56:29 |

| [#4514] 英倫再上路 Today I was trying the Hasselblad 80mm standard lens with the GFX 100S. It was part of the package I bought in a car boot sale..............for £45, so not a bad deal. This is what I called "psychedelic Beatlemania Yellow Submarine Rhino". He is part of the Break Charity's "GoGoSafari " sculptures. You can buy them through the auction.
