| [#5508] 回覆 : HORN 同好會 Gauss 兄, 千其吾好講賞面, 快樂常在我和 Uncle Tom , 小弟都是第一次聽 EV Patrician 800 這巨無霸 30" woofer , 情況就如 2X 8" woofer , 係無可能 = 一隻 15" woofer 的聲效的... 原來聽過的雙 15" , 又無法與 30" 鳥化相提的 --- 若有人云, 超高可影響以下全頻 , 我可覺得原來有了這 30" woofer , 所有'樂器'有如給與了生命一樣, 情感表達呼之欲出。 最難忘 du Pre Elgar Cello 和 Scheherazade 支 Oboe solo 一段, 直程心肺都"了" 左出來。 原來 40Hz down 托底真係有好多, 好多嘢。 當然 300B 推挽功力也可忽視。 |

As may be I can take day off before the end of April.. he he.. hope the speake still in your office la.. * 原來 40Hz down 托底真係有好多, 好多嘢。 Diyfy hing....of course la..if not what BOSE.. need to introdue CANNON woofer...!? The woofer design mainly for hz down to said point...40 hz or even lower ! but, always the full size woofer is the best said...18", 24" , 30" as only concern one unit movement ..the sound will much clear... |

Take JBL as example, old 4343 and new 66000 are having 2 units for seperated base range, Tannoy FSM as well. As we can listen to yours and Mo hing's recent setup, those small 2 ways speaker are probably listening to 1/3 of the materials recorded in a CD. No kiddings ! |

Tell u ,, just the high range not as ALTEC..288 The middle punch will win ...! The world is very big....many many good stuff for the sound industry ...not just hi-fi... but many many field.. in USA vintage can see the 360 degree turning around horn...too. |

| [#5526] 回覆 : HORN 同好會 Thanks for your info JBL-175 hing! According to information I have in hand now, this horn driver is probably over 50years old, which was manufactured by Jensen. Probably derived from the Jensen 610 which originated from the renowned WE555. Anyway, the sound from this driver is marvelous, even comparing to my another blue label Altec 288. |
