I like their singer/song writer Tom Verlaine, his laidback but persuading voice was different from the contemporary New Wave/Post Punk bands with high temple voice.

Originally I would choose the song "Fire" but I decided to change it to "Glory" which is to honour the Firefighters.

My beloved The Cranberries was one of them that always has a big part in my heart.

Though most songs in the EP were left-over recordings from their Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends I love this album.

It was the cover that got me into this record. The cover features Eugène Delacroix's original painting "The Battle of Poitiers".

I hope one day we could say that Eugène Delacroix's other painting "Liberty Leading the People" could be illustrated in HK.

Their first album "Funeral" was a title given to fact that a few members of the band members had the seniors family members died at the same. "Funeral" was the theme that circulating around them at the time.

We Chinese, or some Asian culture, are not comfortable in expressing our love to our loved ones, partners, children, family members and friends.

We are very reserved and sometimes even forbidden to express our love and devotion because they are seen as weakness. i really don't get it.

It happens to me when I kissed my young son and my wife back in HK many years ago. My family actually told me not to do it!!! I told them why not?
