i would also advise to do some preparation before the testing. i can bring some test tone cd and rms meter to level set all the preamps. it is not too reliable to use our ears to set the sound level of all that many preamps. once set, the preamps should be let on until testing. it would be nice if someone has a nice switch box with say 4-5 inputs and one output and a large number of similar interconnects. this will simplify the testing. just my wish!

richard, shouldn't the 27M be under the mono section? it is a dual mono construction except the input selector.

I think the Knight monoblock is called "25W Basic", and it is essentially a monoblock version of the KB-85 power amp.

Just back from R's place and saw your KNIGHT mono blocks are under restoration.

Stone's KB-85 gave me a very good impression. Nice sound. I guess KT66 can not be used as the space is not enough. Right?

I doubt if any brothers has such a switch box. But anyway, please bring a sound meter and arrive at 1:30 p.m. The Party is to start at 3:00 p.m. and we can set the volume control for each preamp first.

Yes! As the designer of the 27M, you are always mindful of the basic construction.

Let's put 27M in Group A and so in this Group we shall test 4 pair plus one dual mono preamps.
