Then attitude changed in pace with music because angry behaviour got me into troubles all the times. However, I did build up my reputation and "respect" among the boys.

I was lucky that my headteacher was very understanding and felt my sentiments with my music and political stance. So much so she asked me advice how to deal with those boys having "too much affection" to her.

Like most HK stereo gears enthusiasts I did try many incarnations of LS3/5A, including a pair of Falcon "Fatboy" from the 80's.

People like BBC LS3/5A but it never has good bass so Falcon, yes the company now reinvents itself to make complete finished LS3/5 and LS3/5A, as a major parts supplier advocated the idea of a "Fatboy" box for the BBC LS3/5A.

The standard of a BBC LS3/5A would have 16cm depth but a Falcon "Fatboy" was extended to 25cm. In theory it have more volume with box and better bass.

Around 9 years ago I came across one pair of this "Fatboy" cabinets so I had this idea to make a pair.

At the time I had some spare of B110 and T27A parts from different KEF speakers. And I also had the crossovers from KEF Concertos which were using the above mentioned units.

At that time my friend/colleague who also owned a pair of KEF Raymond Cooke Special Edition of LS3/5A so we did a comparison.

My friend is a violinist so he is quite critical about sound and the true fidelity. At the end he said he preferred my "Fatboy".

I have a single Spendor LS3/5A and while I am waiting for another single one I thought why not using the units and making another pair?

So, I would build the box from scratch as I bought some Birch Plywood as specified from BBC. It happens I also have another pair of SP1004 crossovers so I will use them again.

Technically the SP1004 uses the B110 as mid but I will also try the low to see which is best for the performance.

Again, I will make the depth to 20cm instead of 16cm.

見到Springroll post Argerich 令我諗起另一個鋼琴家, 傅聰 （Argerich 曾提及佢彈奏馬祖曲深受聰哥影響)。

坦白講我對蕭邦麻麻哋， 自己解讀唔到。偶爾友人介紹我聽，佢嘅蕭邦同其他鋼琴家完全唔同。 什麼細膩，晶瑩剔透，有如清泉，呢啲字眼根本配唔上。 佢彈出嚟係透明！ 意思即係透過樂譜能夠與作曲家溝通。

翻看背後歷史, 蕭邦因為波蘭亡國而逃到法國， 懷念故鄉。 聰哥亦都因為政治原因由波蘭流亡到倫敦。 相信大家體會到嗰種心情先至彈得出呢種感覺。

即管同另一位鋼琴家比較Rubinstein. 大家都係彈奏Mazrukas op 68 no.2 a minor

相信冇人會質疑魯賓斯坦鋼琴造詣, 但係兩個人彈出嚟完全唔同風格. 坦叔風格就係一開始文中所提到嘅什麼什麼。 其實冇唔好, 只係你喜歡與否. 換轉到聰哥手上, 清楚話俾你聽淒清,蒼茫.
