| [#7530] 英倫再上路 Never mind politics and I am frankly sick of it, just enjoying life now. So much so I will enjoy with my new toy. Just got it last night from Japan but it is made in China!! I know shame on me but what can I do? The Light Lens Lab Z21 is a copy? Inspiration? from the Original: Angénieux Type S21 which was made in the 50's as a film lens. While Germany was then the epicenter of lens innovation — with Leitz, Zeiss, and Schneider setting the tone — Angénieux took a different path. He sought not just technical perfection but an emotional, pictorial rendering of light. And now our mighty China took another perspective for a modern application!!!!!(sounds like I am selling the lens!!!) | [#7532] 英倫再上路 One of the holy grail Leica lenses is the original Leica Noctilux-M 50mm F1.2 but it's more than £25,000!! Luckily, to some, Leica has made an reissue recently but still expensive, at least to me. Then you may guess that Light Lens Lab would have made one matching it!! Not only have they made one but also a very good one and most of all so much cheaper!!! Well, kind of as would you like to spend £2000 on a Chinese copy? Apparently many do. | [#7533] 英倫再上路 Haha, I just realised that you had mentioned the Tamron Super Zoom which covers from 25mm-200mm. When I bought the Canon camera and the Laowa Macro Probe lens for my wife I also bought a Tamron SP 24-135mm 50th Anniversary Zoom lens for her. | [#7534] 英倫再上路 The fastest mid-tele lens I had ever owned was the Canon EF 200mm f1.8 which I bought from South Korea. It was a very popular lens used by Korean wedding photographer because it was razor sharp wide open, the sharpest lens ever tested. Also, it throws away the background very nice. I also once had a Sigma XQ Scalematic 135mm f1.8. It was very heavy and images were just so and so. And now I have the Canon EF 135mm f2L for my Fuji which can cover the while Medium Format sensor. Likewise with some of my lenses. This Tamron SP 300mm f5.6 Cat Lens波波鏡 was bought in Flints Auction House couple years ago.
