| [#7588] 英倫再上路 I received a parcel from Hk and by the look of it I got a feelings that it was sent from my new friend in HK. Upon opening I found this big black unit. I messaged him and asked have you sent the item to the wrong person? Well, he said it was for me. He just made this Audio Note M1 RIAA MM Phono Preamp. He knew I play my records mainly with the Ortofon 2M Black these days. He wants me to test it out!!! | [#7598] 英倫再上路 This morning I have my MOT test with one of our cars. Unfortunately I just found that one of the rear number light bulbs has gone burnt. It will fail the MOT test so I need to rush to Halfords to get a new one!! I just opened the AN M1 RIAA Amp last night so no time to try it out yet. Put the tubes in and took some pictures then I realise my friend once again makes the amp unique to me as he putting my name on the transformer. He told me the four Duelund PP caps will need time to run in. Are these caps good? | [#7599] 英倫再上路 That particular dueland cap...cost 4X from something basic and adequate, even it is not those exotic grade , also there are quite many DIY audiophile like dueland product..too , suppose it must have a good reason I did some closer look of that internal photos.., particular things I looked...the choice of the high voltage wire and filament voltage wire (in between the power supply board to the main pcb) and the way he handle it , keen to listen and would test that choices for a diy tube photo stage .. Is Easy enough to have a twist high voltage wire etc , clearly it is a choice from him too |
