Apart from the different gain (DINO 48db Vs. AN M1 43db) so I need to turn the volume up slightly on AN M1, I noticed that the floor noise is much better with the AN M1.

Apparent my friend told me is the design of the circuit.

And if you note there is a black node at the grounding post wiring, that one is a “ground loop breaker” also helps to lower the noise floor.

My friend suggested that Dino is more punchy but a bit harsh

M1 more musical but seems “收得慢啲”.

I felt the backing vocals from 2:00 is so much sweeter and transparent from the AN M1 than the DINO, very subtle but you know it’s there.

I think the M1 edges out the Dino with just a tad more transparency and airy.

Thanks for the comment which is much appreciated. To be honest with you the Audiophile sound or not has no importance in my music enjoyment. Still able to hear whichever way(one ear in my case) is already a blessing.

Indeed that's my plan. Again, not really striking for new surprises but rather having the fun to change and mess around things. Today I pick some of my many 12AX7/ECC83 tubes and two of my own Philips JAN 6922 tubes.

This is my kind of living as my gradual retirement life.

First I swapped my friend's JJ ECC83 with CV4004 and my own 6922.

I also put the tube protector back as my friend told me they are crucial to the sound as part of the design.

After female voices let's have some Swedish Gospel folk music, improvised Jazz piano and shinning Classical string.

I am sure the new M1 is quite a step up from my Dino but will it please every kind of application? Why not trying it.
