My top five R&R Bands, incidentally all British, would be Joy Division, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin and Stone Roses.

They have all long gone by names but members of these bands are still active in some capacities.

Radiohead is perhaps the only one still performing together with either Radiohead, The Smile, and Atoms for Peace,

If you don't mind I like to play their music.
