| [#1103] Harbeth同好會 Harbeth does mention it on the website somewhere or on the usergroup to be careful with the volume and lock it away if you ahve young children party what harbeth claim is that it is becuase the speaker's sound is so clean, user tends to turn it up without konwing it is already so loud that hte speaker can no handle. feel very sad about the incidient happned to brother's SHL5, as it is the case, we should learn and keep the sound level down or limit ourself to be safe. I personlly busted a set of mid drivers of my father's Compact HL about 20 years ago, it certainly didn't go as loud as i wanted before it smoked. I said to myself after hte speaker's mid went bad 'oh well this 8000 dollars pair of speakers can't even make bass that moves me, rubbish !' but now i understand why, its for music and not for disco. if ulitmate loudless is important than i think harbeth is not good for that. |

| [#1108] Harbeth同好會 actually how loud did you play the music to damage the bass unit? I also want to know my spk's limit, make sure that I won't make th e same mistake.......... Calm down everyone and be fair, all spk in the world will be damaged if being used exceed its limit, not just harbeth I believe. I am surprised to know that one actually "kill" a SHL-5 by playing it too loud, I believe you are having a disco party at that time? :) |

| [#1114] Harbeth同好會 童虎兄, " 請問單從察看低音單元的外表，是否可以判別出它有損壞？" 看唔到! 並不是SHL5的失敗, 而是radial 單元的一點敗筆. 哈巴是重播古典高手, 相信大家聽古典時都會比正常音壓大少少, 以後聽大爆棚, double bass 時有少少心理影響. 幸好小弟是聽人聲為主^_^! |
