| [#1264] Harbeth同好會 4th Gathering ic, didn't know the raw materials need treatment. may be alan can tell us the story. anyway. i belive if you have your speakers or anything as a matter of fact , in bad condition environment, it will go 發霉 even if they are treated. those wall paint said 發霉 treated, it still 發霉 in spring. my method is keep ur windows closed and use air-con most the time ! |

Abslultely good sound when compare to at the early set up my LP 盤 ( Just My feeling , if don't agree , don't hit my head ....) To be honest, At the beginning , my early LP盤 set up is not ok when compare to my cd syetm, afterwards, I changed phono amp, diy power cable and RCA singal, oh , just one word that i cay say, WONDERFUL, even my boss also agree my point of vew. so it is worth to explore the LP 膠膠 treasure....., means more time and seach a good 膠膠 la... Primare phone amp 已到家中及已set 好,初閞聲都幾好,人聲好有feeling有質感;3D texture 很廣;有彈跳力及又加埋用DIY Acrolink 4030 電源線 with good quality RCA Cable ( Zu Cable ) plug去phone amp,初步已見其效用; LP absolutely good sound when compare my CD , 在同一歌曲下聽釩a傑"斤兩十足" 麥當娜 new song "Hard Candy,4 Minues remix;, 相信經run in後,效果會更好 前排買左麥當娜新出LP Hard Candy,4 Minues remix版(全部美版,好x勁,發覺外國新錄音技術和以前差別很大;一句講哂,"如痴如醉及樂在其中" Very important:: 發覺如果LP錄音好及舊膠膠keep得好既話,LP真值得我去玩,及需要有時間及閒情,耐性各方面等等^.^ |

| [#1267] Harbeth with LP 膠膠 童虎 hing & other C hing 最初set LP 盤,雖然去follow基本技術,such as Overhang, Lateral Tracking angle, Vertical Tracking Angle, Antiskating , Tracking Force.... Actually 出D music只可以話過得去,但唔可以話好好,尤其去聽同一首歌係CD聽和LP聽;心諗是否phone amp, Power cable & RCA signal,唔夠質素,最初用平價phone amp,cheap 電源線及cheap訊號線,.... 之後去upgrade la, 首先換phone amp,有料到又見寸進,之後又用Acrolink 電源線...又OK喎,之後又用Zu Cable... Woo, 直頭係標童咁" 師父歸位",好似誇張佐,但真係物由所值,不枉我用了幾星期時間去服待,真係少D精神都攬唔惦,好彩最係都有回報^,^ so today afternoon, I went to Mongkok to serch my favouriate LP 膠膠 la...... | [#1271] Freshman for Harbeth I just bought a pair of Monitor 30. I am now using Quad 34 + 405.2 for this pair of speaker. They are quite matching each other. I have done lots of audition before buying Monitor 30, they include, 1. Harbeth Compact 7 ES3 2. Harbeth SHL-5 3. Spendor SP2/3 4. Spendor BC7/1 5. Tannoy Turberry 6. Proac Response 1.5 7. Dali MS-4 8. KEF Reference 3 9. Sonus Faber Concerto Grand Piano ...... Actually, I think Monitor 30 is good, also match with my current setup. As I do not want to invest too much for new power amp. Even KEF reference 3 is really good, it needs space to breathe. My listening area is not really big, so I pick Monitor 30 finally. Just one question, listen distance is 7ft, what is the height recommend for the stand? 21 inches or 24 inches? Thanks!  |

Amp (Marantz 1040) it is an very old amp, design by USA, produced in Japan.....this amp is only for servicing my M20.....If the Amp is very OK, I will sell out my Luxman L68A, really, the Luxman old Amp is also very OK ga.... |

C7 is very easy to drive, even the humble 38w of my newly acquired tube amp is enough to produce very goods sound. I am happy to end the search and settle down to my new system. My system: Linn LP12/OL power supply/Roksan Nima arm/Dynavector 17D3 cartridge/EAR MC4 step-up transformer; Audio Research SP10 MK2 pre amp; Melody SP3 MK2 (as power amp); and Harbeth C7 ES3. All I can say is harbeth sounds great with tube amp. Photos later...... |
