| [#24] Budget $60K ---- CAS, CD, SACD, Bluray CD, 膽機野 Try response: 1. 請介紹閣下認為好的D/A? ＞ Many good model. No absolute answer. Depending on your budget and taste. Please watch out ES9018 DAC chip. There are a few very good DAC products using it. 2. 現在買D/A, 是否應該要預埋將來玩CAS呢? Yes, I think so. CAS is a definite trend for Audiophile. 3. 其實, 玩CAS, 是否好聲過SACD? CAS是否要買部專用音響電腦server, 一張發燒級sound card (即係D/A的功能??)而唔係普通文書電腦? With high resolution record, CAS can perform as good as good SACD. Need a good quality DAC. Do NOT use sound card. For PC, I believe a good notebook, Mac mini can be very good. Some ching here love to built the PC for CAS. For those who know PC DIY, it is fun. For those who don't want that complexity, a low noise netbook or mac can be excellent. 4. 將來會否有Bluray 格式的齋Audio CD (24bits/192Hz)? Not sure. 5. CD Transport 有咩好介紹? Mature technology with some very good products out there. But it cannot overcome the resolution of redbook CD standard. Sorry, you won't have break through or surprise with CD transport in the future. 6. SACD 絕多數係 CD player, 而冇乜齋transport! 有咩好介紹呢? Limited experience with it. No suggestion. 7. 從網上資料/網友分享中得知, 其實靚錄音的普通CD, XRCD, HDCD, 都可以靚聲過SACD! 各前輩點睇呀? (我個人都有一個"感覺", 就係發燒友對bit數值和hz數值, 都認為越高越好....理論上係應該好聲D, 但這是否代表聽起來一定好聲D呢? CD, XRCD, HDCD is tune sound during mastering and dithering when down sample to 16.44.1. With personal taste factor, it is possible that one may like XRCD/HDCD more. To argue, record company can easily tune sound on SACD record as well. If they do so, easy to beat CD/XRCD/HDCD. |

I remember in Ken Poon's seminars, he used MAC book + WEISS DAC and he maintained that once the music files are in AIFF or FLAC, or other comparable formats, the files (all the o's and 1's) are identical. |

| [#13] Budget $60K ---- CAS, CD, SACD, Bluray CD, 膽機野 Hi.Fi.新仔 對我來說，音效述語不說了，我們又不是專家，我認為最緊要是似"真" 去代理處聽聽cas，sacd或cd，那個才是自己杯茶，音樂感或個人味道等等在amp及喇叭微調吧，音效好不好有時是很個人的，自己喜歡就得... 當然，有時也要講"玩味"，如聽LP，看著它轉轉下，及CD放碟動作也可很有趣，很有味道，要看你的欣賞覺度了.. 世事很有趣的，之前很多人說SACD不好聲，說該停產，又說音展不應再生產SACD版本，但現在又開始有人說SACD好，所以那個FORMAT好？世事無絕對.... 最後修改時間: 2010-09-07 14:59:46 |

| [#8] Budget $60K ---- CAS, CD, SACD, Bluray CD, 膽機野 I have 2 audio systems. One is a high end 2-ch system, the other is an entry level AV system. I just ordered a DVD+Flac 24/96 audio file, and testes it with my two different systems recently. For the 2-ch system, I played the file with Laptop+Toslink+DAC+Amplifier. For the AV system, I play the DVD+Flac disc with Bluray Player+HDMI+AV Receiver. However, the result was strange, the AV system sounded more HD and more dynamic than the 2-ch system. But for playing CDs, surely the 2-ch is much, much better than the AV. I just don't know why, and thinking of to add a DVD player to the 2-ch system for playing DVD+Flac instead of streaming HD audio files via the laptop+DAC setup. |
