Without WILSON AUDIO, probably FOCAL has applied bankruptcy order already CPU knows nothing but keep C&P exercise, also very good at "reverse & reverse" propaganda. I cannot understand his intention in trashing Wilson speakers in a Magico thread and promoting Focal is for what reason which I asked many times. So far the 'U' has not answer this question. I have suggested he should start a new Focal vs Wilson thread but he is so gutless to do so. Certainly in this Magico thread, he is not welcome for whatever reason he has. To respond to post [#129] with 'U repeatedly saying Wilson got it wrong after listening to Mahler 2, well, the 'U' probably has never heard of new invention ,new technique and new products designs because all the 'U' can do is cut and paste without new idea at all. No one is going to tell Wilson to stop using 2nd rated Focal unless the 'U' write to Wilson himself but probably he won't have the guts because he has not even tell us what he speakers he owns and listen to everyday, I started to have a suspicion that the 'U' has nothing at home oe else he is too shameful to tell us all here. OK, if Focal keep changing their model anyway so it is only logical for me to say JM Lab also admit their previous designs are less than desirable as well, so I cannot see the argument put up by the 'U' that Wilson was inspired enough to improve their model. Again, all the argument by the 'U' does not make sense at all. I titally agree what george1977 wrote in post [#131] Lastly 'Cut and Paste' of article from his friend about ESL vs Maxx, & Puppy. So what?? I listen to different speakers all the time, each design has their advantage in playing certain music (Yes, I know the U is going to respond to this comment). Well, my argument is, I give an example here, it is stupid to listen to DISCO music using ESL speaker isn't it? I can also say, after listen to Disco music through Wilson, I don't feel like listening to ESL again playing this kind of music. Again, this is over a dozen time that I suggest to the U to start up a new thread with Focal vs Wilson speakers, I love to see how far the U will go and how soon he get the thread deleted. Both times my impression was that there is some characteristic shining or radiance probably induced by the breakup of carbon-doped paper cones in combination with the anorganic-particle-doped acrylate enclosures and the slightly metallic signature of the titanium tweeters. I couldn’t find anything special apart from that, i.e. no particular strengths or weaknesses. In fact the sonic signature was so different that listening to the Maxx directly after listening to an ESL I didn´t have the feeling of listening to just another dynamic speaker again, and I can imagine that for some bathing-in-sound audiophiles this is a reason for placing Wilsons over all other speakers in the world.
