| [#1] DENON ARC / eARC Conection with TV My 5 years old Denon AVR X4300H refused to make any noise from the new Samsung Q75 TV and I had to use the Optical input instead. My original thought is that it may be the eARC and ARC compatibility issue and I was in the middle of the shopping to purchase the latest X4700H which is eARC equipped. A night AFTER my last attempt to fix the connection problem without success, and made up my mind to sell it to second hand, I found a chat via google discussing a similar problem and thanks to the mentioned potential reasons, ie, not to connect any external TV box named “TV” I removed all other HDMI connections from my Switch, Blue Ray, Apple TV, and external TV box, and reset all settings in the Samsung TV and Denon AVR. Magically the sound returned to my 5.1.4 speakers! I now connected all external TV boxes and games console to my Samsung TV instead of Denon, and only had my OPPO Blue-Ray connect directly to Denon. Everything works now and I’m happy that I don’t need to upgrade the AV Amp for no reason. |

| [#3] DENON ARC / eARC Conection with TV I had similar issue as you (X4700h). After thousands of trial and error, plug and unplug, i found out the problem is from my cable tv box(hdmi connection). When i plug cable tv box into either tv or receiver, the arc function will not work and no sound output from tv to receiver. |
