| [#3] 丽磁 211 單端 (AN-125) I would not prefer plate voltage exceeding 500V dc, tends to be problematic due to high humidity, capacitors in series and dangerous high voltage.(lethal though I am a HV authorized person, can work up to 11kV ac) Limited to 50 lb(otherwise, hard to lift) and 4 power tubes at most, easier found NOS tubes. Of course, a matter of opinion. (my hi-fi mentor shared me his experience, myself got 5 tube amps. ) Better still, how to repair minor problems with the tube amp.(not rewinding transformers, leave this to expert) Find high efficiency speakers first, rather than high power single ended tube amp.(some brand new found in second hand market, hard to play, better say, better played) |

| [#4] 丽磁 211 單端 (AN-125) B+ for a 300B can be up to 550VDC. Personally I can tolerate up to 750VDC for a higher power amplifier, such as 211. I am interested in this 211 single end because of its look and feel, instead of power. I am using a pair of 98dB speaker that I don't hungry of power, even a PX4 single end (~4W) is good enough for my listening room. It is for sure that using a high efficient speakers is a key for “good sound”. I am just wondering how about its performance and what layout inside. I tried to find some information about its performance and interior design but I failed to do so. |
