旁邊西伯利亞皮草看假老虎...接著左拐入赫德道看模型火車..連同早前只看(買不起)Radio People 的 Spendor, Luxman, Nakamichi...再回到愛群門前坐5號巴士回家, 如此就消費了不用一元的下午.

Another prestige hifi writer, Lui Ming, also from Radio People. I also recalled there was another 'white hair'European staff in Radio People,Central, Luk Yew Hong, he treated every customer alike, I was only a young fellow and he also played the gear on my choice, very professional and friendly. Excel and Moutrie was another world.

How old were you in the early 70's ? I was 20 and 'enjoyed' a 'treatment' that lasted almost a lifetime. Excel was agent of JBL, while Moutrie
Mcintosh, Bozak and Empire, the price you could buy a flat ! Their customers were doctors, lawyers and other high pay professionals or government offiers

I used to go to "look around" in Radio People in Central when I was a teenager. Their staff was real nice and was happily doing demo for a kid like me. It was there I realized how good were electrostatic speakers (Quad) and headphones (Stax). These days, I can't find any showroom having such friendly atmosphere, not to mention sales staff having the same kind of attitude.

dwan hing, i was born in early seventy and have no luck to enjoy those "golden time" at this period. the first few hi-fi shops i visited late eighty were 明發行 and 阿二無線電. still remember a nice guy (but a little inch) called KT Mau at 明發行. i was poor (now also) at that time but willing to spend all i have on hi-fi. KT is real professional and told me a lot about hi-fi stuffs (of course some are marketing slogan) but i did enjoy those old good time (no choice is good choice....haha). i got however, very poor experience on Excel. unprofessional and impolite service - a guy asked me if i really wanted to buy? do i need to pay before test? also, that guy told me i will need more powerful amp to drive tower speakers than bookshelf speakers....

記得當年(197X)同佢買了一套Quad33+303, HK$1620正,啱啱是小弟之月薪. 當時推薦的係年輕sales Francis Chan, 佢現在好似離開Jadis不久........
之後,又同佢買了一對spectrum VI喇叭添.....

No, Albert Chan is a mixed and rather fat fellow but what I mentioned ' white hair ' should be another, taller and thinner, very gentleman. He tried me the Bose 901 + B&O ( a flat amp like a ruler)
