[#6127] Leica Club And these were taken with a faulty sensor M-E and a broken (one lens shattered completely and one disappeared) 50 Lux. That's why I agree that Leica lenses are amazing and the reason why war photojournalists love to use Leica gears.

[#6128] Leica Club I think camera and lens are modern paint, brush and canvas, it does not matter if the brush is in perfect condition or not, as long as the person behind can come up with the idea and deliver an image that is beautiful and artistic, sometimes even charcoal is enough to create a masterpiece in the stone age. :-)

[#6129] Leica Club ".......sometimes even charcoal is enough to create a masterpiece in the stone age. :-)....." JC, when did you become an archaeologist? Rightly said. I just hope that I am not just carrying around the camera and not using it for fun and my passion.

| [#6130] Leica Club what charcoal did you use to paint those images? :-))) when did you become an archaeologist? Me, I think I prefer to be the caveman who did the drawings.... So a modern caveman I am. Cooking with fire, making sourdough, drinking espresso and taking photos everyday. I hate to see my collection of lenses collecting dust instead of images. | [#6133] Leica Club It's a miserable morning, no sun, no blue sky but cloudy, rainy and grey. Prefect! It's very good for testing the "Broken Lux". I still find it incredible. | [#6137] Leica Club The introduction of the latest high-speed rail has enabled travel from Hong Kong to Guangzhou in a mere two hours. The city's transformation is striking, with urbanization significantly reshaping the skyline. Outstanding work has been accomplished. Local government also ensure the old towns are well maintained to keep the original vibes for younger generations to see and feel. | [#6141] Leica Club Did you bring the 90 Cron to HK? It is quite bulky to travel. Which SL did you use, SL3? |

[#6142] Leica Club Just the basic SL. It wasn't that heavy and I didn't use it everyday. I also use a cheap.........TTArtisan 21mm/f1.5. as much as I love the Leica but £7000!!!!! No way, this TT costs just under £200, not bad at all!

[#6143] Leica Club Basic SL is SL(1)? I still have one and use occasionally. Amazing colour with SL24-90. Bit heavy and bulky but after holding it for while it is not too bad. Great combo for travelling as it covers 24-90 with one lens. Love the autofocus point and shoot. Since you are in HK, your Bro-in-law should have plenty for you to use. 90 Cron is not heavy but bulky. Bring it to travel and 90mm only can be challenging. So another wide angle will be useful. I used to bring 21 2.8 and R80 1.4 or 24 1.4 and 50 1.4 or just 35 1.4.... Lately the 28 5.6 is my first choice for obvious reason :-) So hard to decide when travelling.

[#6145] Leica Club As we said earlier, let's enjoy what we have especially this is a Leica Club developed by fans who share the same passion. So if we like to get a £7000 Leica charcoal, be happy and enjoy. However, a broken charcoal or TT costs just under £200 are usable and be same, happy and enjoy. Most of us learned that brands are for different people so one could be solo and others are jumpers from one to another. Just like relationship :-) Hardware is the first step and post processing is next. Some are more into compositions and timing during photoshooting. So many ways to excel and be creative.

[#6146] Leica Club Yes, I am very much in line with your statement. At the end of the day they are all tools. "Charcoals" which I really appreciate the notion. Individuals have their own preferences in choosing their tools. There is no right or wrong the ways in deploying them. It would be disrespectful to tell Picasso to use No.3 brush instead of No.4. Using their advantages or disadvantages which I particularly enjoy, due to my circumstances, as it is both challenging and exciting. I can't disagree more that utilising post processing is as important as using the precision tools of camera and lenses. My broken charcoal has demonstrated the power of the editing tool which can transform a picture from nothing to something. The M-E has a corroded sensor which Leica will not replace any more, so basically another broken metal. It doesn't man it can't take pictures but with lots of damaged pixels shown with the file. If you have so much spare time to kill like me and if you don't mind taking time and be patience you would enjoy the post-editing. For example, the RAW file has clear damaged pixels shown in the sky and there are many with the rapeseeds but it is not showing. I take a little bit of to do it with PS and LR and the result is not too bad. Original RAW file.
