[#42] 大阪 七日遊 S6410, 見到旅行團單張多數都寫"大阪/和歌山 x天團 Cost concern ma! Do you know it is sig. more expensive to travel to Kinosaki and the hotels there are also MORE expensive than those in 和歌山. About 和歌山, I stayed there for one night visiting the Castle. A small city nothing special. I stopped there during my trip to 白濱! Frankly I enjoyed my stay at Kinosaki much much more. And I also like the Ise Peninsula trip: Please see the address below: http://www.ise-kanko.jp/ The Ise Temples are just fabulous!

[#45] 大阪 七日遊 Remember to visit the Museum of Liberal Arts in Kinosaki. You can get to know some of the most famous writers in recent Japanese history. And you can also enjoy free foot onset outside the Museum! I stayed two nights at an old famous hotel in Kinosaki and I am sure I will go back there, enjoying the crabs, the coffee and the ice cream and the grapes! I am out of the audiophile fever and no longer shopped at Dan Dan Street in Osaka for LPs or hifi gears. Instead I like to visit the "Black Door" wet market, which is the largest market in Osaka. You can shop for anything like rice, coffee, and can enjoy fresh sea food in those fish shops!

[#47] 大阪 七日遊 S6410, seems we gone though the similar foot steeps :P Yes, Black Door market is one of the best wet market street in Japan as I experienced. Other is Okinawa and Kyoto. I can no longer spend few hrs in Yodobashi or DanDan Street. (Just look, no money to buy, too depress... :P) But I can spend 1.5hrs just in Jusco Supermarket and keep on going to other super market same day and never tired of it. I was looking around for food market in my last trip, too bad I can only find 2 amount all the places. Those old wet market are taking over by Supermarket these days.

[#48] 大阪 七日遊 sbug hing, we have good "old taste" ma! I remember I ate at a Sushi Rest. near the entrance of 黑門 market. The C Fu just put the sushi on the bench in front of you. No disk and nothing to contain the sushi. No English menu No foreigners. Enjoyed the back to square one feeling. There is a pet shop selling small Jap cats and dogs few blocks ahead of the restaurant! The next time you go to 黑門 market, remember to taste their good old coffee. You can also have your lunch at those fish shops. Just buy the packages right in front of you. Order the hot soup and just eat there! DanDan St. used to sell some old Accuphase but I am no longer to be "goolai" of myself. And unlike my wife, I usually don't buy a thing in Japan!

[#53] 大阪 七日遊 Wakayama onsets best to go during Summer time, as the scenes could be rather windy during Winter time. Near the ocean ma! However, if you decide to go to Kinosaki, I recommend you to stay for two nights, as you are free to enjoy 7 public onsets there for FREE! And there do have some thing you can shop and enjoy (eg. coffee shop). And Kinosaki is in a very different route from Wakayama. You may need to re-plan the whole trip. Eg. 1 night at Nana, 1 night at Kyoto and 2 at Kinosaki. However, some pals like to go to a lot places in limited time (youung energetic pals!). Or just stay at the onset near Oskaya. Below please find some web-sites for your reference: http://www.arima-onsen.com/ http://www.agogo.com.tw/travel/tour/990027.htm http://www.secret-japan.com/onsen/location/japan.php Have fun!

[#55] 大阪 七日遊 You are right on both. My suggestion is if it is your first time to go to Kansai, best to start with nearby cities such as Nana, Kyoto... Kinosaki Onset maybe a little far away. It takes you about 2.5hour of JR to go there. Although a must for many experienced Japanese travelers.

I will recommend you to Osaka, Kyoto, Nana and Kobe. Don't be too greedy. Or else you won't able to see anything, you will just put all your time on commute. |

[#60] 大阪 七日遊 Charles, I like to stay in Mui Tin's Hilton, as it is right across the JR station, which U can go to Kyoto/Nana/Kobe in less than an hour! Also my wife and I like the three major departmetn stores at Mui Tin district than in Lan Boa area, which I regard as an old and established shopping area and is more near to Dan Dan Street. Lan Boa is also more crowded. Maybe starters like you may like Lan Boa area more!
