| [#2347] ESL57 arrived My friend delievered them to me this afternoon finally. -------------------------------- jcml......yr esl57 looks real good. it is the early version but in excellent condition. from the reflection of lights in yr photo, i can tell the dust cover is clean and tight. the out-look is excellent. the metal grill is perfect. i will give you a call to find out why it keep on blowing fuses. regds patrick |

| [#2351] Audiotechnique 25th Anniversary Record LP I ordered thru M9 and took a copy delivered today and now I am listening to the record serial no#85. The sound? Exceptionally good in my system by local standard. When compared to CD format in my poor DVD player, the vinyl record format appears: 1) the sound stage is much wider and deeper 2) much better intrument separation 3) much softer, less tense 4) deeper bass I paid $238 for my first copy thru first order. If you have a vinyl player, my opinion, go and buy a copy if priced at around $250 providing any left in the market. Good luck |

| [#2359] Quad ESL Dennis, I'm 好打有限 so I'm not eligible for a 花名 yet. Gingers has once addressed me as CP'sJJ, that can be real big, you never know. 花名 could be sometimes very restrictive. 定位李 is clever enough to be called 定位李 and not 屏風李 (probably because there is already a 屏風郭), otherwise he will be restricted to planar speakers only even if he finds something better. Patrick is a die-hard electrostatic and declared that he will die with his ESL57, so it will be safe to call him 靜電梁. If you are considering other amps, it may not be appropriate to address you as Quad神余 albeit you really make you Quad II sound differently. But I can see you are quite an admirer of Linn and perhaps would stick to the Linn T/T for quite a long time, so can we call you "余慕蓮". Gingers has rejected the name John Leak as there are many John Leaks around, one even being a martyr which might sound ominous. 老薑不如舊薑 or 夠薑 as he is always out challenging others' amps with his Leaks. But there should be something to emphasize his position as the Leak guru such as 莊leak舊薑, otherwise he will be very unhappy. Let's think about it more seriously. |
