I am still thinking because it's quite expensive to replace both treble panels (for the One Thing Audio, it costs 160 each, then it will be HK$5,000 for two not including postage to HK, the one by Stewart may cost about the same). After talking to Patrick, he's very considerate. He will try his best to make it sound again, then I will have time to find it used or at a more resonable price later. I know the work will take up a lot of Patrick's time. It's beyond words that I can describe my feeling about Patrick's kindness. THANK YOU PATRICK! |

| [#2469] ESL57 inspected by Master Patrick jcml, According to the link that you have given, a rebuilt panel from Penketh is only USD200 including dust cover, that would be very reasonable. The large hole in the diaphragm and the stator will not only be a stress concentration point but also a static concentration. How that will affect the sound I do not know, but I'm sure that would not last very long. |
