| [#2840] Quad ESL CP, The new belt should bring better speed stability to your LP12. Please ensure levelling of your LP12 which I did not have time to check this afternoon. I think your cartridge is probably run-in well and the sound of your LP12 is getting better than my last visit. Your cartridge needs re-alignment as distortion was heard at last track. Should have more improvement after refill of new black oil and another round cartridge alignment. Let me handle it in next visit. |

| [#2842] Quad ESL Dear davecywong, The price of a a pair ESL varies from GBP400 to rebuilt unit at GBP2000 from One Thing Audio or newly produced at Euro 3300 from German, not including shipping. Most can be found in eBay but shipping cost to HK can put any one of us off. I've seen ESL on offer several times in HK and I bought two pairs in local and one pair from Canada. If I found a decent pair in good cosmetic, I am willing to pay over $20K cash. The ESL may not be everyone's cup of tea. Have you listened to any electrostatics before? If not, I guess most of our ESL users active in this thread is proud to invite you a vsist. Just voice out to let us know. |
