| [#3083] Quad ESL Hi Alex......I forgot to mention there are high voltage in side the esl57. Make sure you let the spearker sit for at least a few hours after you have unplug the AC. Please take photo of the panels and let us see the condition. Good luck! |

| [#3086] Quad ESL Dear powercord, In total, so far I have bought 4 pairs of ESL57, serial numbers namely: 1) used pair 26XXXX (original panels with EHT replaced by OTA type), 2) used pair 34XXX (total rebuilt by OTA), 3) used pair 43XXX (all panels are originals and good. At present, Patrick is help me to renew all resistors and capacitors and EHT, cosmetic condition in near mint) and last but not least 4) NOS pair 43XXXX stored in Cananda at present. I sold the 26XXX in perfect working condition to mda and I still keep 3 pairs in hand. Frankly, I really missed the original ESL sound and that's why my heart felt on the last 43XXX few days ago. I intend to keep the two pairs of original 43XXX for stacking and I would likely sell my OTA pair out fairly soon to make more room for my stacked ESL. |

| [#3089] Quad ESL Dear Ricci, I suppose the two pairs 43XXX are matched as all panels are original. The year of manufacture is 1979 as stated on the EHT. Not only the front and back grille are both in perfect cosmetic condition, the used pair in HK is in fact looks mint in all area and all panels looks perfect. However, due to twenty year usage, Patrick will replace all resistors inside the audio transformer boxes as well as the EHT diodes for me. Theoretically, the NOS is Canada should behave in new perfect condition electronically speaking. They may not behave in the same electronical manner but I guess they should match close in view of all original ESL panels |
