Theoretically this can be done. I did try to reverse the phase at speaker terminals before (before the Graaf time) as many said that ESL reverses the phase with the source. Frankly I didn't hear too much of a difference and I don't think reversing the phase will cause such sonic degradation as experienced in Dennis'. Nonetheless I will try and let you know. |

| [#3641] Quad ESL CP, Quite surprisingly, your low cost "Shunt" passive pre-amp works pretty well with my QUAD II giving more transparancy and details to the ESL57. No significant loss of dynamic noted, of course the active pre still hold its virtue in some loud passage. I recall Hon once suggested to me to try passive pre in view of the high outout of my Linto phono amp. |
