| [#4024] TVC meet BBA CP, I'll call you up later today about the arrangement. Dennis Tim and CP After some serious listening and comparison, I prefer inserting the BBA between my phono amp and TVC most. The tonal balance becomes so natural with least adverse effect on TVC's transparancy. In high-end level, I am afraid the BBA will require good tubes as good as Alan's collection to perform its best. I guess the BBA, when partnering with CP's Music First, has a high hope to hold up or close to the par with Nagra and 27M, providing good PX4 and ECL82 are installed. |

| [#4028] TVC meet BBA The Telefunken ECL82 is excellent and among the best ever made. ECL82 from Lorenz, AWA Australia and Tungsram are wonderful too. For 6X4, I generally prefers the military 6X4W/CV4005/U707 over the civilian version 6X4/CV493/U78. Unless the system sound too over-powering. |

| [#4031] ESL57 Bass panel Denis, Make sure you only get the square getter version of GEC CV4005. The circle getter version is not nearly as good. Early CV4005 from Brimar is also very very good. I have more tubes to lend to you if you need them. |

| [#4034] ESL57 Bass panel Denis, This recalls my memory we ( Tim's old deja forum) tested out the AWA sound very nice when it's $2 USD on ebay, it was yr 1997 or before. Now, I don't have anymore space for ebay tubes. If just for trying, I can lend out. I have two quads laying around and an Australian Partridge transformers 10k P-P aimed for an Ausie TL12+ thought never comes true. Australian is neglected in their products. |
