| [#4427] ESL I bought a total three pairs of AB 1 and finally I gave up two pairs and the last pair was used as my JR149 stands :-) Ken Kessler is not audio god :-) I was just reminded to read between lines :-) --------------------------------- To be fair to Ken and AB1, I guess whoever said the above should visit Jo Ki who arranged his ROGERS singing in cohort with his AB1 - the "Ki's method" of AB1 placement. Jo has spent a lot time in the placement of his LS3/5A with AB1. What was Ken's placement of LS3/5A partnering AB1 many years ago? |

I also wish you to hear the TVC passive pre. It sounds bloody good with exceptional transparency when I increased the bias of GM20 OTL to factory standard 30ma. I shall be free on Friday again. |

| [#4436] ESL Tim, Alan and Dieter visited me in the afternoon.... -------------------------------------------- My 1st visit to CP's workshop and it was like visiting Disneyland for the 1st time as a kids. There are just so many vintage audio treasure EVERYWHERE! It will take many more visits to appreciate all the goodies. And the vintage German gears colelction is just amazing. The ESL57 is definitely the most "powerful" sounding pair I have ever heard. And I look forward to bring my V81 to be compared with the V73 and V69 of the host. |

| [#4441] ESL63 CP, No plan to HK yet. Just missed the opportunity when my mum returned to HK last week. Let my brother who lives in Toronto to take the collection locally first. The decription says a panel works intermittently. I assume there is a lossen electrical connection and all panels should be working fine. If this is the case, I would add some glue to reinforce the panel and we will have a pairs of all original ESL63 in HK for reference. |
