| [#452] QUAD ESL Dear Patrick, The US combo looks clean However, we need to clarify with the seller: 1) 220V or 110V operation? 2) Serial number of the QUAD II? The KT66 tube look like cheap stuff. If discounting the tubes, the QUAD II + 22 from US should worth HK$8K. A Quad match GEC KT66 NOS will cost another 2K to 3K HK$. the Mullard GZ32 and EF86 will cost another 1.5K. I would say the US system is not cheap enough. Any saying about the condition or any replacement done? Dennis |

| [#453] QUAD ESL Patrick, After second examination, I would say the QUAD II/22 from UK at GBP800 to GBP900 appears very reasonable because shippimg worldwide is free and serial numbers are close. More importantly, all components look original and good GEC tubes are provided. Can any high hand to inspect for us? |

Remember the photo of a Quad mono pre-amp I posted earlier. That was from an ad located in San Francisco Bay Area for Quad II + preamp combo. The seller is an ABC (America Born Chinese) live near my brother's house. He is asking US$600.-. I thought it was a good deal and was about to ask my brother to go pick it up for me. Then I found out he is only selling a single channel! |
