Dennis, congratulation on the big 5000! Because of you, the ESL thread raised the bar of sportsmanship on Review 33 (thank God!) and gave a rare glimpse into one of most celebrated "speakers design" in history. On a philosophical note, the thought of "regretting something for the rest of my life" happened often during my teenage years of dating and I promised myself not to let it happen again. I've made (forced) new arrangement to free myself tomorrow and will be trashing "the party" promptly. Let me pour some more gasoline on the grill from one of HP's article I saw this morning while taking a crap - from the October issue of TAS on Maggies (#175 / page 144): ": ....if someone pushed me to one of those paint-yourself-in-the-corner judgments, I'd choose to live with. It is, top to bottom, as uncolored in the sense of getting music tone colors right, as anything on the market, including the old Quad electrostatics of yesteryore." ps: limage, can we PLEASE limit the personal preference Cds to one "track" (song). The event should cover " test materials" approved by senior seats on the panel, Otherwise, it defeats the entire purpose of this gathering. |
