We did try 8 ohm and 16 ohm taps of the Audiomaster for the ESL63. With 16 ohm, the speaker is about 2 dB louder, better control in the bass but the midrange is not as refined.

While I cannot but have the speakers oddly up front in a near field situation, my choice is very much limited to fine-tune one best spot than to pay any more attention to the rest of the seats. Better to have one than none!

Sorry. I have to say we do feel it.

We are grateful to my master who had saved us. My husband and I were left as refuse iron by our previous masters. They did not love us anymore. It was my master’s kindness to save us from the dust and he tried every means to cure us. For me, I was left unattended for many years. As a woman, I did think I have to be alone in the rest of my life. It is my fate.
My master is kind. I do not feel lonely now as my master found my husband. He is rather straightforward and always rushes to express himself not as like as an ordinary UK gentleman. As a final, he caused unnecessary embarrassment between you and our master, resulting my master acted as a dead dog and begged for your pardon in the public. Almost 20 hours already, I know that you may not forgive my master as you only dropped a few cool words and make my master freeze in a foolish L@@K.
It is all my husband’s fault. As a wife, I cannot do more but to request you to forgive my master.

However, I opposed to what you said. Though we are toys, we can feel loving hearts from our masters if our masters tender loving care to us. We in return, comfort our masters’ hearts with our wholehearted singing.

Did the husband offend some sort of "dai lo" who inveighed his rage on the master of the husband and who in turn harassed the wife so she had to beg pardon from the "dai lo" to relieve herself from the agony? What had the husband done and why is he not the one to stand up? Poor lady!

The performance of the 63 was quite disappointed yesterday. In addition to the poor sound quality, I did not see/hear much sound stage. It was far cry from how it was in my living room. I thought there may be something wrong with the speaker. So I hook it up last night as soon as I got home and surprisingly, the sound was just normal like what we heard on that Saturday session while everybody said it out performs the 57. I listened to it whole morning and just can't find anything wrong with it. Anyway, I have installed the fabric cover and tighten some of the nuts on the circuit boards. Now it is ready to go on loan to DW.

Thanks again for your attention to the 63. According to limage, one of the speakers (the left one yesterday) did behave strangely occasionally and was easier to get to shut down in a tutti, or if not a shut down went into distortion (instead I heard some distortions in the right speaker though). It might indicate a weak point of leakage which is confirmed by the fact that when limage unplugged the power from the speaker with the signal still on, the speaker gave out some cracking discharge noise and the music went to distortion quickly just like when we shut down a power amp with the signal on and the capacitor discharge. Would you take the trouble to check the stators or EHT whether there is a bad contact and leakage to ground.

CP......It looks nicer with the dress on. Anyway, one can un-dress the speaker by just pulling the fabric cover down when listen to it.

The problem limage mentioned sounds like stator voltage discharging. I listened to it this morning and I didn't notice it. I will try listen to it in very loud volumn again tomorrow to see if it happened. Will let you know.

WHEN I powered on my Audiomaster couple during the audition, Ms Audiomistress who was on the right gave out some unpleasant noise. The host commented that it was the typical of sickness from 尖者's collection :-)

I am always 從善如洩. I spend a few hours yesterday night. See what had been changed.

The speaker plug. In fact, I was struggled for several hours not to modify them.

However, they were naughty and started to talk indecently with all the masters directly, breaking the chain of command. I decided to punish them, starting from their mouths :-)

Having said all that, the following observations are evident:
any thing less than 100W for the Maggie "is not doing it justice",
any thing less than 20W for the ESL63 "is not doing it justice",
there is a hint clear enough that there would be a sequel to this "fight of the century"!
........................and the show goes on.................

Please don’t mind I am calling you like this as I am over my 60 like our learned judge. My master 尖者 always respects you, saying not many masters in R33 had the same sharps ears and pen as yours. You are one of a few masters can make use of your pen to accurately report what your ears had heard though my master sometimes complains that your written English is far upper his English level. Sometimes, my master has to put off his glasses and look for the words from the dictionary. He is such a guy really likes to learn.

Last night, I asked my master and sought his approval to meet the 63, the wild horse. [To be honest, I prefer 36 (.)(.) more ] when he punished our Audiomaster brother. My master strongly objected at the beginning, saying that you may be too old to take the risk. He told me not to stake all my fame, if any, on the risky audition as the wild horse is not easy to be tamed.

I admit. To be a 荊軻 is not easy, especially a 60 years old 荊軻. I know my master may not agree your above statement. However, he hesitates to voice out. As a toy, my duty is to comfort our master’s heart. I jump out and imitate what the manner you like to speak. I am here and challenge your view on the captioned subject.
