| [#23] Weiss Minerva vs Mytek 8x192 This sounds very similar to many years ago that I have heard many reports claiming that Benchmark dac1 is as good as xxx high end dacs costing yyy times more. I brought one direct from USA as there was not even in dealer in HK at that time, and I sold it within a few months. Yes, I sincerely "hope" there is a killer dac from somewhere and kill all other dacs as much as I hope to win Mark Six one day. But I wonder what technology does the Mytek has that make it better than the hundreds of dacs out here in the market ??? |

But a friend of mine who bought DAC2 said he "LIKE" the sound of DAC2 rather than his EMMLABs player. ＞＞＞BTW not sure how much a Mytek 8x192 would cost? The outlook of Mytek is really cool to me. It's DSD ready option is also cool to me as well. ^__^ |

In simple terms, they are of different league, the Medea is a far much better product. After checking the price, my immediate reaction is - no wonder! Happy listening. |

I should have stated more clearly that the comparison is based on the same CD Transport connecting to Minerva and Medea respectively. I don't think Medea has PC/Mac connectivity and I remember vaguely that Medea is HK$100+. Happy listening. |
