Been talking about the Psychedelic movement from the USA with Nuggets and I think I should talk about our own in the UK.

Personally I prefer the British Psychedelic more than the American purely it's more diverse and deeper in musical arrangement.

I don't want to bang on the difference in cultural depths but if you have watched the speech by the King and perhaps you know what I mean.

There is no doubt that the first and foremost British Psychedelic band sprung to mind would be the Beatles. Who doesn't know about the Beatles with LSD, silly dress and ideals?

Today I will talk about some other bands and to bring the interest in more easily I give you the Pink Floyd to start off.

I had connection with Twink because we both lived in Colchester before.

Is this record worth more than £2000 to you?

What I really appreciate the British Psychedelic is that not only would they have Psychedelic Rock, but also Psychedelic Folk!!

Sometimes it would be called Acid Folk and I believe it's the extension of Folk Rock.

You know, those if you don't take booze, you may as well take drugs!!

Do you know the Bee Gees would have been seen as a psychedelic band?

When Bee Gees moved back to England from Australia they had a plan to make themselves big.

The biggest thing back then was the Beatles and so it would be the easiest choice to sound like them.

The Beatles released Revolver which was regraded as the beginning of the Beatles venturing into the psychedelic period.

I would say Bee Gees First was more psychedelic Pop than Rock. Bee Gees still maintained the signature harmonic arrangement with strings and their vocals, but with the addition of psychedelic maneuver.

BTW, the cover design of Bee Gees First was done by the same guy who did the Beatles' Revolver

one thing in common...they are happy and proud of what they do
