Fairport Convention當時走晒班原裝主力，可能因為咁要諗下新方向，但我覺得成績只屬一般，主要係旋律唔夠悅耳，所以初聽好難一下子就鍾意。BTW，原來《"Babbacombe" Lee》Vinyl係雙封套。

SG,

"Babbacombe Lee" was a fine album. When I first heard it I thought what? A concept album about a murderer? It should never work but somehow the arrangement will catch on you.

I am not sure if it's due to the tense vocal or purely it's completely different from what we had with Fairport in the past. I didn't like it to begin with but slowly I really enjoy it. However I would say if for a concept album it's not in the same league as Tommy, St.Pepper etc. All I can say is if it was the trend to make concept album they were very brave as they could be seeing the end(perhaps they might have).
