| [#1563] Quad ESL Rescue Team (QUEST) cp, Your LP12 is in reasonably good condition after changing 3 new Nirvana spring and fresh black oil replaced. The bearing of the fitted Ittok arm is still its in good condition and I saw the bearing tip running smoothly with no play. The tip has sign of sticky black oil residue adhering around the bottom of bearing shaft indicating you have left the LP12 idle for many years. Right? The basic power supply and motor look OK and I may check the speed in next visit. We can adjust the speed within +/- 1% per factory advice. DO let your LP12 pins and runs a few more weeks. Play as many LP as you can to run in your new cartridge. Will need to balance the new springs and level after few weeks. It should get 30% improvement in performance after 50 hours run-in. Hope I am correct. |
