| [#5422] Leak Stereo 50 Vs Stereo 60 Perhaps, the comparison amongst F2a11, EL156, EL34 should uses different amps (instead of the same amp), each of which is the best for the tube type. ------------------------------------------------- But by then, one can argue we are comparing different circuit and different OPT instead of different tubes. |

| [#5432] Leak Club ~ M9 & Hoi Gor 's setup Thanks for M9 and Hoi Gor for the hospitality today. M9's system has an expensive Micro TT, Audio Note M7 preamp, Marantz 9 and LEAK TL/12.1 monoblocs, and WestLake monitors.. Despite the output power of the TL/12.1 is oly 12W per channel, the bass from the WestLake (4 ohm impedance!) is deep and forceful. Couldn't forget the very balanced sound and tone with the TT source! Hoi Gor in fact has more than two systems at his luxurious home. We in fact listened to both his main system with WE 6L6 PP monoblocs and vintage Altec 604 speakers; and his Lowther powered by a Sun Audio SETA using #45 triodes. The system with the Lowther is one of the very unique and nice sounding audio system I have heard so far. But clearly the system with the Altec 604 is all-rounded for a wider range of music and vocals. I call it a day with great 'harvesting' audio experiences of mine! Thanks again! |

| [#5433] M9 vs. TL12.1 "What is the result of re-issue M9 vs. Leak TL12.1 in Michael M9's system?" In fact the re-issued Marantz 9 sound very nice with the WestLake speakers. The TL12.1 is in its first 20 or 30 hours of use and is still under run-in but its sound is already very nice. They each has very different characters. |
